Sven Krasser

Sven Krasser has a strong background in the field of cybersecurity. Sven started their career as a Research Scientist at CipherTrust in 2005, where they developed IP reputation systems for detecting and blocking spam. In 2006, CipherTrust was acquired by Secure Computing, and Sven continued their work as a Director of Data Mining Research, leading the development of a SaaS Web-filtering solution and managing connection reputation components. In 2008, Secure Computing was acquired by McAfee, and Sven took on the role of Senior Director of Data Mining Research. Sven worked on integrating cloud threat intelligence and reputation lookups across various product teams, using machine learning techniques for data analysis. In 2011, Sven joined CrowdStrike as the VP of Engineering, responsible for leading engineering teams. Over time, they transitioned to the role of Vice President and Chief Scientist, and eventually to Senior Vice President and Chief Scientist in 2020, where they continue to contribute to the company's research and innovation efforts.

Sven Krasser holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, which they earned from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Computer Engineering at the same institute from 2001 to 2002. Sven began their educational journey at Technische Universität Braunschweig, where they obtained a Vordiplom in Electrical Engineering from 1998 to 2001.
