Joe Couillard

Joe Couillard is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as the Director of Fleet Operations for Crowley Government Services since May 2023, overseeing the Crowley-Stena Tanker Security Program vessels and the Stena Polaris. Previously, Joe held various leadership roles at AET from September 2009 to March 2023, including Head of Offshore Operations, Deputy General Manager, and Technical Manager, managing offshore services across multiple regions and a fleet of lightering support vessels. Earlier experience includes positions as Fleet Technical Superintendent at SPT Inc. and Program Manager at Maersk Line, Limited, with a technical focus on U.S. Flag Container ships and lightering operations. Joe's career began at Newport News Shipbuilding as a Senior Test Engineer, and education includes a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from The George Washington University.
