Kathy Fontaine has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry, starting in 1992 and continuing to the present day. Kathy has held various roles in companies such as BP, Crowley, Kakivik Asset Management, and CH2M. In their most recent position as VP of Operations at Crowley, they have been responsible for overseeing operations within the company. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at BP, including Regional Performance Manager, Area Operations Manager, and Infrastructure and Logistics Manager. Kathy also worked at Kakivik Asset Management as an Operations Manager and Corrosion Engineering Project Manager. Additionally, they worked at CH2M as a Water Business Unit Leader. Through their work experience, Kathy has demonstrated expertise in managing operations, improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring safety and compliance.
Kathy Fontaine holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Kathy also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same university. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Geology from SUNY Oneonta. In 2012-2013, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management for an Operations Academy program. Kathy Fontaine has additional certifications including a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, an Internal Corrosion Technologist certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, and they are a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska.
