David Diaz

David Diaz, CTO, has over 28 years of experience in the internet field. Having his start with the first commercial ISP in Florida to the building one of the top 10 largest tier 1 global backbones. He is an expert on large-scale peering and infrastructure builds which include not only large phone companies but also subsea fiber carrying the World Cup and Olympics. He has designed and deployed over a half dozen exchange points including the Bellsouth Mix, the first DWDM optically switched IX. David has worked with several router and optical companies testing their equipment and being the first to deploy them in a production network. David was the first to deploy Juniper routers in a production network as an example. Many of the networks built or established peering for, are still carrying large amounts of traffic such as Cogent Network, AT&T, Telx, and Globenet (Oi) to name a few.
