Yixuan Liu has held three positions in the past five years. In 2019, they were a Product Development Engineer at Crystal Int'l (Group) Inc. & Crystal Claire Cosmetics Inc. where they were involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, working in a cross-functional role as both the designer and engineer in the team. Yixuan created and followed a client-centered design process and prepared presentations with rendered concepts for internal team and clients. In 2017, they were a Research Assistant at the National Research Council Canada where they researched and analyzed the possible reasons for the failure of the thermal barrier coating system based on the existing reports, experimental data and the delamination maps simulated with MATLAB. Yixuan also developed data analysis models using MATLAB to analyze the data quantitatively. In 2015, they were a Production Development Intern at RG Petro-Mechinery Group Co. LTD.
Yixuan Liu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the China University of Petroleum, Beijing in 2016. Yixuan then continued their studies at the University of Ottawa, where they completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018. In November 2021, they obtained a Certified SolidWorks Professional in Mechanical Design from Solidworks.
