Anup Sobti

Anup Sobti has a diverse work experience in the legal and company secretary field. From 2021 onwards, they have served as the Head of Legal and Company Secretary at C&S Electric Ltd., a subsidiary of Siemens. In this role, they were involved in integration activities, closure of pre-acquisition matters, and overall legal and secretarial responsibilities.

Prior to this, Anup worked as the Head of Legal at Angelique International Limited from 2016 to 2021. During their tenure, they managed arbitrations of over US$123 million and handled various projects in Africa and Southeast Asia.

From 2011 to 2016, Anup served as the AVP Legal & CS at ACL Mobile Limited. Here, they dealt with corporate matters such as conducting board and audit committee meetings, drafted shareholders' agreements, and conducted due diligence for property purchases. Anup also handled contract drafting and vetting, arbitration, and litigation for the company.

Before that, Anup worked as a Company Secretary at Napino Auto & Electronics Ltd, a Japanese JV ancillary to Hero Honda, from 2007 to 2010. Anup'sresponsibilities in this role included corporate and legal compliance.

Anup started their career as the Manager of Compliance & Risk Management at Bajaj Capital Ltd in 2006.

Anup Sobti has a diverse education history. Anup obtained a Master of Business Laws from the National Law School of India University, where they studied various fields such as Contract, Banking, Environment, International industrial, Investment, Taxation, IPR, Company Law, and more. Prior to that, Anup Sobti completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Lloyd Law College, specializing in Law Civil Criminal ADR. Anup also pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Kurukshetra University, focusing on Commerce. In 1998, Anup Sobti attended The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, where they earned a CS degree with a concentration in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law, which they completed in 2001.
