Christopher Kelly has a diverse work experience in various roles related to marine biology and science education. Christopher started their career as a Science Education Guide at Adventure Aquarium in 1995, where they worked until 1997. Christopher then joined Dynamac Corporation as a Research Scientist in 1999 and stayed in that role until 2001. From 2001 to 2003, they served as a Rural Aquaculture Promotion Volunteer with the Peace Corps. In 2011, they joined CSA Ocean Sciences Inc., initially as an Energy Programs Director and Marine Biologist, and later as the Vice President Science and Technology and Marine Biologist. Christopher is currently working in the latter role.
Christopher Kelly's education history begins with their high school education at St. Joseph's Prep, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 1992 to 1996.
Christopher then pursued their undergraduate studies at the Florida Institute of Technology from 1996 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and Marine Ecology.
Continuing their academic journey, Christopher attended the University of Maryland from 2004 to 2011, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marine Biology and Marine Ecology.
In addition to their formal education, Christopher Kelly has also acquired several certifications. These include Further Offshore Emergency Training and Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET), which were obtained at Falck in August 2017. Christopher also holds certifications in Nitrox and Open Water Diver from PADI, although the specific months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
