Dave Barber

Dave Barber is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal field. Currently serving as Chief Counsel at the California School Employees Association since February 2020, Barber previously held the position of Deputy Chief Counsel. Prior experience includes an associate attorney role at McCracken, Stemerman & Holsberry, LLP, and student attorney at Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. Additional legal internships were completed at the US Department of Labor and the Legal Aid Society. Barber's early career involved writing and project coordination at Chermayeff & Geismar and DB Consulting Group, Inc. Academically, Barber earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Harvard Law School, following graduate studies in Philosophy at the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Philosophy from Brigham Young University.
