Effie Yang

Effie Yang is a skilled labor relations professional with extensive experience in organizing and representing workers. Currently serving as a Senior Labor Relations Representative at the California School Employees Association since December 2018, Effie previously worked at the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance as Treasurer, where assistance was provided in chartering the Illinois Chapter. Additional experience includes roles as an Organizer and Volunteer Organizer at UNITE HERE from September 2013 to August 2018 and as a Room Service Server at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago from June 2013 to December 2015. Effie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies, as well as Spanish from Northwestern University.
