Alba Finelli

Alba Finelli is an experienced research and development engineer currently working at CSEM since January 2020, focusing on MIP and MOFs based sensors and specific sol-gel coatings. Prior to this, Alba held a postdoctoral research position where the formulation of stable electroless baths for silver coatings on specific space devices was conducted, alongside synthesizing precious metal nanoparticles for aesthetic applications. Alba's earlier experience includes a researcher role at BluAct Start-up, where the design and development of polymeric amyloid-based membranes for contaminated water purification were performed. Additionally, Alba was involved in research on multi-metallic Schiff-based complexes at Fribourg University and participated in international exchanges for sensor development at Seoul National University of Science and Technology. Alba's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry from Université de Fribourg and a master's thesis in Supramolecular Chemistry from EPFL.
