Gwendolyn Webb-Smith has extensive experience in safety, security, and educational support, demonstrated through various roles in correctional and educational settings. Gwendolyn currently serves as a Safety & Security Technician at Central State Hospital Forensic Unit since April 2012, responsible for controlling access in a maximum-security unit for court-ordered psychiatric evaluation and treatment. Prior experience includes serving as a Sergeant and Correctional Officer with The GEO Group, Inc., where Gwendolyn oversaw inmate activities and ensured safety protocols. Gwendolyn also worked as a Paraprofessional in Chesapeake Alternative School and Duggan Middle School, assisting students, particularly those with learning disabilities, to facilitate their educational growth. Gwendolyn holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Tidewater Community College and a High School Diploma in Business from the High School Of Commerce.
