Gurpreet Kaur has a work experience that includes positions in two different companies. Gurpreet started their career as a Trainee IT Officer at Dudley Council in September 2011. In this role, they were responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining online web forms, testing forms on different platforms, and transferring data using Microsoft Excel. Gurpreet worked independently and collaborated with a team to ensure the successful construction of platform changeover.
In October 2015, Gurpreet joined CSI Ltd (A CSI Group Company) as an IT Analyst. Gurpreet processed customer and internal support calls and worked closely with teams such as Wintel, Unix, Networks, and Security. Gurpreet also gained experience in procedural tasks and daily checks.
Gurpreet later transitioned to the role of 1st Line Support in October 2016. In this position, they provided 1st line support both remotely and face to face for internal staff and customers. Gurpreet'sresponsibilities included tasks related to Microsoft Active Directory, troubleshooting virtual environments, assisting with IT issues, setting up laptops and peripherals, and carrying out tasks on monitoring systems. Gurpreet also worked on various mail filters and VPN applications.
In November 2019, they were promoted to the role of Wintel Engineer, continuing their work with CSI Ltd. Gurpreet'sresponsibilities in this position include more advanced tasks such as liaising with third-party support teams, solving end user issues using Citrix Receiver and Citrix Studio, troubleshooting VDI issues, and carrying out tasks on Forcepoint. Gurpreet is also responsible for resetting and setting up VPN applications for internal staff.
Gurpreet Kaur has a diverse education history. Gurpreet obtained their Master's Degree in Information Systems and Business Analysis from Aston University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computing at The University of Wolverhampton from 2009 to 2013. Gurpreet's academic journey began at St Dominic's High School for Girls, where they completed their high school education from 1999 to 2009, focusing on GCSEs & A levels. Apart from their formal education, they also possess additional certifications, including the European Computer Driving Licence, ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT Service Management, and the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification.
