Emma Colbran

Emma Colbran is the director of iDeas Lab at CSIS. In this role she provides communications and outreach support to the Center, working closely with the full spectrum of CSIS programs and ER leadership. Beyond this, she facilitates press briefings and helps maintain relations with the media, organizes events and conferences, and provides administrative and logistical support to the department. Previously, she was the media relations coordinator for CSIS, an external relations intern at CSIS, and a research intern at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy in the Middle East Peace Process Program. She holds a B.A. in political science and homeland security and a minor in social innovation and social entrepreneurship from Tulane University. She joined CSIS in June 2018.
