Maril Vernon

Maril Vernon, CEH, MSCSIA, is a Principal Application Security Architect at Aquia, with previous experience as a Senior Application Security Architect and Purple Team Lead/Senior Security Engineer. Maril is also a Contributing Writer at CSO Online and the Chief Operating Officer at Teach Kids Tech. Additionally, Maril is the Co-Founder of The Cyber Queens, advocating for women and LGBTQ+ minorities in the cybersecurity field. Maril has a strong background in offensive security, threat hunting, and risk management, with previous roles at Zoom, Dark Rhino Security, EMPLOYERS, and the Air National Guard. Maril holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Soviet Studies, an Associate of Arts in French Language, and a Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance.
