Jose M. Torres

Jose M. Torres has extensive work experience in quality assurance and quality control roles. Jose M. is currently the Head of Quality Assurance at CTMC, a joint venture between Resilience + MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Quality Assurance at Neurogene Inc. from 2021 to 2023.

From 2018 to 2021, Jose held various positions at Lonza, including Head of Quality Validation, Head of Quality Operations, and Sterility Assurance Lead. Before joining Lonza, they worked as a Quality Assurance Consultant at EG Life Sciences from 2017 to 2018.

Jose also has experience working at Alkermes as an Associate Director of Quality Systems and Compliance from 2014 to 2017, and at Boehringer Ingelheim as a QA Senior Manager from 2012 to 2014. At Boehringer Ingelheim, they were responsible for leading quality assurance activities in a new manufacturing building, including auditing, investigations, validation, regulatory activities, and technology transfers.

From 2003 to 2012, Jose held multiple roles at Amgen, including QA Senior Manager, QA Associate Manager, QC Senior Manager, and QA Site Facilities Support. In these roles, they oversaw quality control sample management, quality assurance in fill and finish facilities, change control programs, validation, and GMP document approvals.

Earlier in their career, Jose worked at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical as a Quality In-process Auditor in 1991 and at Ortho Biologics as a QC Microbiology Analyst from 1989 to 1991.

Jose M. Torres completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Kaplan University, from the years 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Universidad de Puerto Rico from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained an Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Math. Jose M.'shigh school education was at CROEM from 1979 to 1980, specializing in Science and Math. In addition to their formal education, Torres also obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Purdue University in May 2012.
