Michael Pohl

Michael Pohl's work experience includes serving as the Chief Investment Officer at CURevl since March 2021. Previously, they were the Managing Director of Education/Consumer Lending at Laguna Education Services from November 2009 to March 2021. In this role, they advised entities on mergers and acquisitions, business development, and capital markets. Michael also successfully negotiated portfolio sales worth over $2 billion. Before that, Michael was the Director of Business Development at Motolease, LLC from January 2015 to April 2020, where they focused on revenue growth, client relationship management, and identifying new business opportunities. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director at Nelnet, Inc. from January 2001 to February 2008. Michael also held positions at Sallie Mae (now Navient), where they were the Director of Business Development & Strategic Alliances, and at Credit Suisse First Boston as a Senior Research Associate.

Michael Pohl attended Valley Forge Military Academy from 1977 to 1979, where they completed their high school education. Michael then went on to attend the University of Arizona from 1979 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. After a gap in their education, they pursued further studies at The George Washington University School of Business from 1987 to 1989, obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree.
