Eckart Schirmer

Eckart Schirmer is an experienced engineer currently working at CUBE Bikes since October 2015, specializing in the design, research, and development of bicycles, as well as project management with international partners and suppliers, FEM-simulation, and quality management. Prior to this role, Eckart served as a scientific assistant at Fraunhofer ENAS from April 2015 to October 2015, focusing on the construction and development of actuators in the field of Active Flow Control. Eckart also gained experience during an internship at TWI in 2012, where the focus was on materials research of creep-resistant steels. Eckart holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Chemnitz, obtained in 2015, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, earned in 2012.
