Yunde Xiao

Yunde Xiao is a Senior Scientist in Cheminformatics at Cubist Pharmaceuticals since August 2012, providing cheminformatics support and ligand-based design for research programs. Previously, Yunde Xiao served as a Senior Scientist at Targacept, Inc. from August 2007 to June 2012 and held the position of Computational Chemist at the same company from 2002 to 2007. Prior experience includes working as a Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between August 1999 and August 2002, and as an Assistant Professor at both Nankai University from 1996 to 1998 and Jiangxi Normal University from 1990 to 1993, where responsibilities included leading the Research Center of Organic Synthesis and teaching courses on the Applications of Computer in Chemistry. Yunde Xiao completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Theoretical Chemistry at Oakland University from 1998 to 1999 and earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with a focus on Computational Chemistry from Nankai University, China, in 1996.
