Sal Firicano

Sal Firicano has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Sal is currently the VP and Head of Information Technology at Cullinan Oncology since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President, Head of Information Technology at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals from September 2021 to May 2022. Sal also served as the Sr. Director, IT and Facilities at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals from December 2018 to May 2022.

Before joining Eloxx Pharmaceuticals, Sal Firicano worked at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals as Associate Director, IT - Strategic Technologies Lead to Technical Operations from April 2013 to December 2018. Sal started their career at Inspiration Biopharmaceuticals, Inc as Associate Director, Information Technology from September 2011 to March 2013.

Sal Firicano also has experience working at ArQule, where they held various roles. Sal was the Manager, Information Technology from June 2005 to September 2011, responsible for overall IT operations, budget, forecasting, and headcount. Prior to that, they served as Network Engineer II / Senior Network Engineer from March 2000 to June 2005, responsible for the IT infrastructure of a multi-site, multi-national organization. Sal also worked as a Network Administrator in the Automated Systems Design Group from April 1998 to March 2000, where they worked closely with automation engineers and software developers to implement desktop systems and custom applications.

Sal Firicano has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. In 2007 and 2008, they pursued a Master's Certificate in Foundations of Business from the same institution. In addition, Sal recently completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems with a focus in Project Management from Boston University, which they obtained in May 2021. Sal also holds a certification in Master of Science Computer Information Systems with a subconcentration in Information Technology Project Management from Boston University, which they obtained in May 2021 as well.
