Niall Coates

Niall Coates currently serves as Research Manager and previously held the position of Research Scientist at Cultech Ltd since January 2019. Niall's academic background includes a Master of Biology obtained from Cardiff University, where studies focused on bacterially derived natural product research. During time at Cardiff University, Niall participated in the iGEM Competition as a competitor on the Cardiff Team in 2017, contributing to significant work in genetic engineering. Prior experience includes volunteering with the National Trust from September 2012 to September 2017, engaging in nature conservation tasks, and working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Swansea University in the summer of 2016, assisting with various PhD projects in molecular biology and related fields.
