We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead to join Team Review Cycles, a cross-functional team responsible for the core of our Performance product. This product helps companies create transformative people-first performance reviews that are easy to use and manage. All our teams are cross-functional and have the autonomy and responsibility for bringing features from conception all the way through to owning them in production. Our cross-functional team of engineers, product designer, product manager, are in need of a strong Team Lead. In this high impact role, you will guide a team of engineers in delivering high priority product outcomes. We have just finished rebuilding this product from the ground up with a future-ready architecture and domain model. In 2025, our focus is on using these strong foundations to make the Performance product market-leading. We plan to build on our seamless performance review experience to further promote simple and fair performance management, reduce bias, and increase transparency from leaders. We aim to drive the power of change toward a fairer workplace mindset through the thoughtful capabilities we build.

Software Engineering at Culture Amp is an inclusive practice distributed across cross-functional, lightweight Agile teams, embracing flexible work arrangements. You’ll be surrounded by talented people, learning opportunities, as well as sharing your knowledge with others.

This Team Lead role consists of three key areas: People Leadership, Technical Leadership, and Delivery. You will lead your engineers by helping to solve complex problems, unsticking the team, and removing blockers so they can do their best work!

You will 

  • Design innovative technical solutions which balance tradeoffs to deliver on business needs
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions with your team, peers, and other stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering their growth into future technical leaders
  • Prioritize the product roadmap, sequence initiatives, and share timelines with stakeholders
  • Collaborate across a cross-functional team to work out and achieve technical and product vision goals

You have 

  • Solid understanding of systems architecture and programming
  • Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams to prioritize and deliver customer value balancing technical tradeoffs, team capabilities and capacity
  • Experience managing stakeholders and leading engineers, complemented by strong written and verbal communication skills

You are

  • A technical leader who can empower and coach engineers
  • A delivery leader with a bias for action
  • Open to receiving feedback and giving feedback to help others grow
  • A people leader who has a track record leading, coaching, and growing a team of engineers
