Barbara Tavares

Barbara Tavares has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Barbara began their career in 1994 as a Field Engineer and Office Engineer at Hensel Phelps Construction Co. Barbara then moved on to work as a Project Engineer at Archer Western Contractors/The Walsh Group and Manhattan Construction Company. In 2007, they took a role as a Project Engineer at Guido Brothers Construction Company. In 2008, they were a Project Engineer at Parsons. In 2010, they joined R.H. Shackelford, Inc. (RHSI) as a Sr. Construction Manager, where they established company protocols, standard operating procedures, cost codes, payroll system, website and data management via cloud server. In 2020, they became Vice President - Construction Operations at Building Hope, where they oversaw the delivery of charter school construction projects across the United States. Most recently, in 2022, they took a role as Senior Manager, Implementation at OpenSpace, where they transformed the Clearsight Progress Tracking Implementation team by introducing contractor means & methods. In 2023, they became a Customer Experience Specialist at Cupix.

Barbara Tavares obtained a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Texas A&M University between 1988 and 1993. Barbara also holds certifications in Designing with Grids in InDesign from Lynda.com (obtained in August 2016), LEED AP, and LEED Accredited Professional from the US Green Building Council.
