Shyan Vijayasekaran

Shyan Vijayasekaran is a Clinical Professor at Curtin University, where responsibilities include coordinating the curriculum and lecture delivery as the sole Otolaryngologist on the faculty. Additionally, Shyan holds adjunct and clinical professorships at Kasturba Medical College and The University of Western Australia, respectively. Serving as President of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology and as an Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon at Perth Children’s Hospital since 2006, Shyan has managed various departments and coordinated statewide ENT surgery care. At Perth ENT Centre, a private practice founded by Shyan, a multidisciplinary team provides extensive outpatient and surgical services in otolaryngology. Serving as Chairperson of the Medical Advisory Committee at Cura Day Hospitals Group, Shyan has played a pivotal role in the establishment and leadership of efficient surgical facilities. Educational credentials include a current PhD at Flinders University, a fellowship in Paediatric Otolaryngology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and FRACS from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
