Therese Barrett

Therese Barrett is an experienced professional with a diverse background in leadership, education, and care. Currently serving as an adventure leader and coordinator at Dementia Adventure since July 2022, Therese also works as a carer at Curam. Previously, Therese held positions including vaccinator at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, learning and development coordinator at The Methodist Church, and national accreditation, recognition and projects manager at the Workers' Educational Association. From 2010 to 2013, Therese was the service user engagement and activities manager at Langley House Trust, focusing on regulatory compliance and service user involvement. As head of French at New Hall School from 2002 to 2009, Therese taught French and developed teaching materials, and served as curriculum manager at Essex Adult Community Learning for 13 years, overseeing a team of foreign language tutors. Therese Barrett earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree with honors in French and management from Leeds Trinity University.
