Motassem then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering in Computer Software Systems from Azhar University - Gaza, graduating in 2014. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from Iugaza, which they obtained in 2017.

Additionally, Motassem has obtained certifications in Remote Work Foundations from LinkedIn in October 2020 and is currently pursuing the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification from Microsoft, with an estimated completion date in March 2023.
