Logan Schmidt has over 8 years of work experience in the DevOps space. Logan started their career in 2013 as a Learning Management Administrator at Copesan, where they were responsible for helping over 100 partner companies with training and compliance. In 2014, they joined SynerComm Inc. as a Full Stack Developer and Information Assurance Consultant. At SynerComm, they developed solutions for business practices and internal web applications with PHP/Ruby on Linux and deployed git and unit-testing. Logan also developed the Rapid Hybrid Pentest web application (PHP/javascript/ruby/metasploit), for delivering exploits to business endpoints to measure annual/quarterly control effectiveness. In 2016, Logan became the Chief Engineer at Real Peoples Ratings, where they maintained and built DevOps procedures in AWS and other cloud platforms, using linux servers, automated builds / deployments. Logan also implemented TDD processes for the development team. In 2018, Logan joined TGen - an Affiliate of City of Hope, as a DevOps Engineer. At TGen, they worked with Java, Python, Angular, golang to deploy Web applications on-prem and in AWS, using CI/CD pipelines written in GitLab and Bamboo. In 2019, Logan joined Transact Campus Inc. as a Staff DevOps Engineer, where they worked with Azure / ARM and automation to deliver applications and workloads in an fully automated fashion. Logan also implemented GitOps, Pipeline as Code, and YAML business definitions for developer experience. In 2021, Logan joined SportsRecruits as a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer. At SportsRecruits, they worked to eliminate constraining issues preventing DevOps growth. Logan created Ephemeral environments for SR's Laravel application stack using Laravel Forge API / SDK, which allowed developers to rapidly test features and provide URLs to developers & product folks. Logan also ran production deployments, and helped accelerate the number of deploys and reduce deploy failures/issues. Currently, Logan is a Senior DevOps Engineer at Curantis Solutions.
Logan Schmidt attended Waukesha County Technical College from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained an IT - Network Specialist degree in the field of Information Technology. Prior to that, they attended Spring City Aviation from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Pilots License in the field of Vans RV-6a, PA28-151/161/181, PA-24-250. In March 2011, they obtained a Private Pilots License from Spring City Aviation. In July 2014, they obtained a Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) certification from GIAC.
