Georg Becher

Georg Becher has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and manufacturing industry. Georg is currently working as an Associate Director of RNA Supply at CureVac since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations at metabion international AG from November 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they were the Head of Operations at Eurofins Genomics Europe Synthesis GmbH from April 2020 to October 2020. Georg also served as the Managing Director at Eurofins MWG Synthesis GmbH from July 2009 to March 2020. Georg began their career at Eurofins, where they held various roles including Head of Operations from January 2006 to June 2009 and Manager from January 2001 to December 2005.

Georg Becher pursued their education in a chronological order. Georg completed their Vordiplom in Chemistry at the University of Siegen from 1988 to 1991. Georg then graduated with a Diplom degree from the University of Kassel between 1991 and 1995. Georg continued their scholarly journey by achieving a Promotion degree in Bioorganische Chemie from the Universität Osnabrück, a process that took place from 1995 to 2000.
