Stefanie Grund

Senior Project Manager CMC & Deputy Group Lead at CureVac

Stefanie Grund has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Stefanie began their career as a Research Trainee at Loyola University Chicago in 2001 and later joined Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center as a PhD student in 2003. After completing their PhD, they continued their work at Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center as a Postdoctoral fellow until 2008. Stefanie then moved to dkfz - German Cancer Research Center and worked as a Postdoctoral fellow from 2009 to 2011.

In 2012, Stefanie joined CureVac, where they held multiple positions. Stefanie started as a Scientist Enabling Technologies and worked there until 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they served as the Manager Early Process Development & Toxicology. After that, they worked as a Project Manager - Technical Project Lead, CMC from 2017 to 2021. Stefanie then took on the role of Project Manager - Manufacturing Project Lead, CMC from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are working as a Senior Project Manager CMC & Deputy Group Lead at CureVac.

Stefanie Grund has a diverse educational background. Stefanie obtained a Diplom degree in Biologie from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1998 to 2003. Stefanie then pursued a PhD in Biology/Biochemistry at Heidelberg University, completing it from 2003 to 2008. Additionally, they earned a Betriebswirt (IWW) degree from FernUniversität in Hagen in 2010 and 2011. Stefanie Grund also holds a Basic certificate in project management from GPM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e.V., obtained in 2015.
