Daniel Lih has a diverse work experience in the field of bioengineering. Daniel is currently employed at Curi Bio as a Scientist, having started in September 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Research Associate from September 2021 to September 2022, and as a Research Associate from April 2021 to September 2021.
Before joining Curi Bio, Daniel worked at the University of Washington Bioengineering. Daniel held the position of Research Scientist from August 2016 to April 2021. In this role, they collected, processed, and purified various human organ samples and collaborated with graduate students, research scientists, and principal investigators to coordinate research on organ-specific cellular interactions. Daniel also contributed to scientific papers published in biomedical engineering journals.
Daniel began their career at the University of Washington Bioengineering as a Graduate Research Assistant. From March 2012 to January 2016, they worked on designing nanopatterned cantilever assays for cardiac preclinical screening. Daniel also cultured NRVM, C2C12, and hESC-CMs, and differentiated hESCs and iPSCs into cardiomyocytes using a feeder-free method.
Additionally, Daniel briefly worked as a Collaboration Researcher at National Yang Ming University in July and August 2013, and as a Teaching Assistant at Merica Group from July to September 2011.
Daniel Lih completed their high school education at the American School in Taichung from 2007 to 2010. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Washington, graduating in 2014. Daniel continued their education at the same university, obtaining a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from 2014 to 2016.
