John Valley

John Valley, PE has extensive work experience in engineering and technical roles. John is currently the Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services at Curia (formerly AMRI), a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, John held senior leadership positions at Akorn, Inc, including Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Science & Technology from June 2018 to January 2020, and Vice President of Global Engineering from September 2015 to May 2018.

Before joining Akorn, Inc, John worked at Hospira for several years, where they served as Director of Global Process and Equipment Engineering from September 2012 to August 2015. John also held the roles of Sr. Program Manager from January 2009 to August 2012, Plant Engineering Manager from May 2006 to December 2008, and Project Engineering Manager from August 2004 to April 2006.

Earlier in their career, John worked at ZLB Behring (Aventis Behring) as a Superintendent in Process Engineering from 1997 to 2004, and at Roquette as a Project Engineer from September 1995 to September 1997. John began their career in the US Navy, serving as a Submarine Line Officer from December 1988 to August 1995.

John Valley, PE attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. John also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer, accredited by the State of California.
