Erika Milczek has worked in a variety of roles since 2003. Erika began as an Undergraduate Researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Kyle Knight at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. From 2005 to 2010, they were a Graduate Student and Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Recipient in the laboratory of Dr. Dale Edmondson at Emory University. In 2010, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher in the laboratory of Dr. John T. Groves at Princeton University. From 2012 to 2016, they held the role of Senior Research Chemist, Biocatalysis Group at Merck & Co. where they developed biocatalytic platforms for selective therapeutic protein functionalization and worked with MetID teams in Analytical Chemistry to develop assays for rapid MetID. In 2016, they co-founded and became President of BuzzBite and, in 2017, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Curie Co.
Erika Milczek completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University from 2010 to 2012 in the field of Chemistry. From 2005 to 2010, they obtained a PhD in Chemistry from Emory University. Prior to that, they completed a B.S. in Chemistry from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 2001 to 2005.
