Bian Qian

Bian Qian is a Lead Data Scientist at Curity since September 2022, with a robust background in software engineering and data science. Previously, Bian served as a Staff Software Engineer at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics from April 2013 to August 2022, where notable achievements included the design of patented models for classifying images of blood cells and assessing image focus quality, as well as developing algorithms for analyzing centrifuged blood samples and an early warning system for hematology analyzers. Bian's earlier roles included Postdoctoral Research Associate positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Princeton University, focusing on advanced imaging systems and methodologies. Bian holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, along with a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a BEng from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
