Mathew Corthell

Mathew Corthell has worked in the software engineering industry since 1999. Mathew began their career at CertCo, Inc. as a Programmer, where they developed Public Key Infrastructure applications and tools. Mathew then moved to Mad Doc Software in 2002, where they served as a liaison to stakeholders and was the Lead User Interface Programmer. In 2006, they became the Lead Programmer at Accretive Technology Group, where they led a team of 3-5 software developers. From 2014 to 2022, they worked at RealSelf in various roles, such as Senior Software Engineer, Software Development Manager, Lead Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineering Manager. At RealSelf, they designed and implemented an Authentication and Authorization service to secure data APIs, as well as an expanded product to connect prospective customers with RealSelf Customer service staff. Mathew also led and coached Engineering Leaders, managed the Lead of an independent team, onboarded and mentored new managers, and delivered conversion-focused products. In 2022, they moved to Curology as a Senior Software Engineering Manager.

Mathew Corthell received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
