Senior Research Engineer at Cursor Insight

Dávid Hanák began their career in 2001 as a Software Engineer at Graphisoft. Dávid then moved to the Institute for Software Integrated Systems at Vanderbilt University in 2003, where they worked as a Research Engineer. In 2006, they joined MTA SZTAKI as a Research Associate. In 2009, they started working at NNG LLC as a System Architect, where they were responsible for managing the enabler backlog, participating in planning and execution activities, and supervising and fostering Built-in Quality. Dávid also took on the role of Release Train System Architect, in which they worked with portfolio stakeholders and developed, analyzed, split, and realized the implementation of enabler Epics. In addition, they were the Team Leader of the Routing & Guidance and Traffic Teams, where they mentored and coached team members and organized team building activities. Finally, they worked as a Senior Programmer in the Routing & Guidance team, where they implemented, maintained, and improved high performance routing algorithms and truck navigation assistance. Currently, they are a Senior Research Engineer at Cursor Insight.

Dávid Hanák began their educational journey in 1984, attending Elementary School until 1992. Dávid then attended Berzsenyi Dániel Gimnázium from 1992 to 1996, graduating with a high school diploma from the Special Mathematics class. Dávid then attended Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 1996 to 2001, earning an MSc in Computer Science. Finally, they returned to the same university from 2001 to 2007, graduating with a PhD in Constraint Programming.
