Edgar Yerena has extensive experience in various manufacturing and engineering roles. Edgar started their career as a Maintenance Technician at LG Electronics, where they worked on injection molding machines and performed preventive maintenance. Edgar then moved to Spartech Corporation as a Project Engineer, where they focused on improving machinery efficiency, developing new production equipment, and coordinating maintenance activities. After that, Edgar joined Custom Engineered Wheels, initially serving as a Plant Engineer and Tool Room Manager, overseeing preventive maintenance and coordinating personnel in the maintenance and tool room departments. Edgar later became the Production, Maintenance, and Injection Molding Manager, responsible for coordinating the manufacturing team, managing direct and indirect labor, and overseeing the preventive maintenance program. Currently, Edgar is the Chief Operating Officer of Custom Engineered Wheels, providing support to the technical team and coordinating engineering projects and operations at both the corporate and Mexico facility levels.
Edgar Yerena obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Reynosa, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained various certifications in different areas such as operational excellence, lean six sigma, business process improvement, coaching and leadership skills, project management, and managing organizational change. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent one being "Building Accountability into Your Culture" in February 2021.
