Nancy Baron has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the marketing and communications field. Nancy has a strong background in customer success management, product marketing, and strategic marketing.
Starting in 1997, Nancy worked as a Marketing Manager at Interface Software for six years before transitioning to become an Entrepreneur, where they successfully launched and ran a Vermont Bed & Breakfast.
In 2009, Nancy joined ICF as a Clean Energy & Climate Change Communications Specialist, focusing on educating and engaging stakeholders on climate change and energy conservation.
Nancy later took on the role of Director of Marketing at HomeHubZone, a home inspection software startup. Nancy spearheaded marketing efforts, growing the user base and setting the company up for acquisition.
From 2013 to 2017, Nancy worked with the Vermont Farm Fund, where they managed a revolving not-for-profit loan fund for farmers and food producers. Nancy promoted the fund and doubled the value of loans made during their tenure as Program Manager.
In 2017, Nancy joined Help Scout as a Scale Customer Success Manager, pioneering the proactive customer success role and creating resources and automations to increase customer success. Nancy later became a Customer Marketing Manager, where they executed cross-channel campaigns to educate customers and drive revenue growth.
At Foundation Software Group, Nancy served as the Director of Product Marketing, leading the charge on messaging rollout, content creation, and event management. Nancy also supported the sales team with in-depth product knowledge.
In their most recent role at FruitScout, Nancy was the Product Marketing Director, where they relaunched the brand for the North American apple growing season and led various marketing initiatives including messaging revamp, media outreach, and asset upgrades.
Currently, Nancy is a Senior Customer Success Manager at Customer.io, where they guide customers through onboarding and long-term strategies.
Nancy Baron has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Nancy also completed coursework towards a Professional Cooking Certificate at Kendall College. In addition, Nancy obtained a Customer Success Manager certification from Impact Academy Customer Success in May 2022.
