Kevin Eifel

Kevin Eifel, Acting Director of Internal Audit, joined the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority in 2014. He brings over 35 years of auditing experience to the team, having held various audit positions in the private sector prior to joining CMHA. Mr. Eifel’s primary responsibilities include overseeing evaluations that provide reasonable assurance that risk management, controls, and governance systems are functioning as intended and operate as expected to achieve CMHA’s goals. In addition, his department oversees CMHA’s Internal Audit Hotline for reporting fraud, waste and abuse. During his tenure at CMHA, Mr. Eifel was previously a Staff Auditor in the Internal Audit Department. Mr. Eifel received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Cleveland State University, is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course, and has a CPA Certification from the State of Ohio. Mr. Eifel has also earned his Housing Choice Voucher Specialist Certification while at CMHA and has worked extensively with the HCVP Department to ensure CMHA is complying with HUD regulations, and tracking and improving their Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) scores.
