Katherine Ortiz

Katherine Ortiz, P.Eng is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Currently at CWA Engineers Inc. since February 2019, Katherine specializes in evaluating and optimizing dust collection systems. Previously, Katherine served as a Consultant Engineer and Aircraft Structural Engineer at V1 Aerospace and Gogo, where responsibilities included conducting damage tolerance analyses, stress assessment of aircraft components, and generating comprehensive reports and installation drawings for various aircraft models. Katherine also has experience in education as a Teacher Assistant and Resident Advisor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where engagement with students included developing lesson plans and instructing courses in Pre-Calculus and Physics. Katherine holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, both from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
