Duncan Sparrell

Duncan Sparrell is an experienced professional in cybersecurity and telecommunications, currently serving as a Steering Committee Member for multiple International Telecommunication Union workshops focused on generative AI and software supply chain security. As Chief Cyber Curmudgeon at sFractal Consulting, LLC since October 2013, Duncan leads a boutique security and software consulting firm. Additionally, Duncan holds prominent positions within OASIS, including Co-Chair of the OpenC2 Technical Committee and roles on the Board of Directors. Duncan is also a member of the Strategic Advisory Board at Cybeats and has participated in various initiatives across organizations such as the Open Cybersecurity Alliance and the NTIA Software Component Transparency Working Group. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Digital Communications) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
