Head of Software Development Team at Cyber Surgery

Carlos Santiago Liceras has over 10 years of experience in software engineering and development. Carlos is currently the Head of the Software Development Team at Cyber Surgery since April 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at ALTEN SPAIN from May 2017 to April 2019, where they were involved in the development of a toolset for the configuration, monitoring, analysis, and testing of train fleets and devices in the railway sector. Carlos also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Next Limit Technologies from March 2015 to May 2017, specializing in the design and development of a simulation platform for the analysis of crowd behavior in urban environments.

In addition, Carlos has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder and CTO of the travel auctions website Locotravel.com from January 2014 to January 2016. Carlos also worked as a Software Engineer at Mecaes from October 2014 to March 2015, where they developed a training system for a combat vehicle. Furthermore, Carlos worked as a Software Engineer at Indra from December 2010 to October 2014, focusing on designing and developing the Tactical Environment used in Indra's simulators and training devices.

Before their career in software engineering, Carlos worked as a Ski Professor and Travel Guide at Viajes Turintia/Club Sherpa from December 2002 to April 2010, organizing and guiding ski trips and providing client support in resorts. Carlos also gained technical support experience as a part of the Data Process Center at Universidad Complutense de Madrid from December 2008 to November 2009.

Carlos Santiago Liceras has a strong educational background in theoretical and mathematical physics. Carlos obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2010, following their Licentiate degree in the same field from the same university, completed between 2002 and 2009. Additionally, they pursued further studies in the field of Engineering Physics, earning a Licentiate degree from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2008. Carlos also holds a Bachelor's degree in Science, which they received from Lycée Français de Madrid in 2002.

In terms of certifications, Carlos has recently obtained various qualifications related to project management and agile methodologies. Carlos became certified as a SAFe® 6 Agilist and SAFe® 5 Agilist in May 2023 and June 2022, respectively, by Scaled Agile, Inc. Carlos also achieved the status of a Certified SAFe® 5 Release Train Engineer in March 2023 and a Certified SAFe® 6 Release Train Engineer in May 2023, both from Scaled Agile, Inc. Additionally, Carlos holds an EXAMEN de Certificación SCRUM from EIGP, Escuela Internacional de Gestión de Proyectos, earned in July 2022.
