Mohamed Katri has a variety of work experience in the software engineering field. Mohamed is currently working at Cyberhaven as a Software Engineer since 2023. Prior to that, Mohamed worked at Amazon from 2020 to 2023, where they led the design and development of a pseudonymization service for Alexa datasets and integrated a Privacy Attribution Service into the Alexa runtime. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer where they played a key role in building the Azure container orchestrator and also led the development of the stack for compute and networking resource management. In 2015, Mohamed worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google, and as a Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mohamed also has research experience as a Research Assistant at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2013, where they investigated hardware-assisted message-passing and implemented performance benchmarks. In 2012, Mohamed worked as an Intern Software Developer at Nezal Entertainment, where they designed and developed a Node.js back-end for HTML5 social games and implemented cheating detection and prevention algorithms.
Mohamed Katri completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Alexandria University between 2009 and 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, which they successfully completed between 2014 and 2015.
