Eric Birckelbaw

Eric Birckelbaw has a work experience spanning from 2015 to the present. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Lab Technician at the Joint Quantum Institute, University of Maryland, where they contributed to cryogenic Quantum-Simulation research using trapped ions as qubits. Eric'sresponsibilities included programming interfaces and controllers, designing and building custom electronics, machining custom hardware, and assisting in the construction of a quantum computer.

Eric Birckelbaw attended Annapolis High School from 2012 to 2015. After completing high school, they went on to study at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2015, specializing in piano. In 2015, they enrolled in the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a minor in Cybersecurity in 2018.
