Mark Lopes is the current president at Cybeta. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Carbyne from August 2019 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for global market expansion of Carbyne's mobile phone-based services during emergencies. Mark also built partnerships with enterprise clients around the world to provide value for clients during emergencies. Additionally, they served as the global government and multilateral affairs and policy lead to help governments improve public health outcomes. Before Carbyne, Lopes worked as the Director of International Business Development at RapidSOS from December 2018 to May 2019. In this role, they led a short-term effort to build and launch the international expansion of a cloud-based technology platform including structuring deals with domestic and international technology companies and foreign and U.S. governments. Mark also built partnerships with cellular carriers and major technology leaders in wearables, home security, and IoT spaces to provide data into the 911 system. Lopes has also served as an advisor at Hack Fund V.
Mark Lopes received a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University in Political and Economic Development. Prior to that, they received a B.M. from Berklee College of Music in Jazz Performance and Arranging.
