John Bos is currently the CEO at Cybrex. Prior to this, they were the Chief Technology Officer for Information Technology and Assurance Programs at Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. from 2007 to 2009. John has also served as the President of the Hampton Roads chapter of ISSA from 2012 to 2014, and as a board member at large for 757 Labs from 2011 to 2013.
Bos began their career in 1999 as a researcher for Information Warfare R&D at the Naval Postgraduate School. John later became the Technical Director for the Computer Security Research Lab and mentored students in security research. In 2007, they joined Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc., where they eventually became the Chief Technology Officer for Information Technology and Assurance Programs. John held this position until 2009, when they left to become President of ISSA's Hampton Roads chapter.
Bos has been active in the Hampton Roads community, working to provide resources and knowledge sharing opportunities for hackers and makers. John has also been involved with 757 Labs, a pro bono organization that provides a space for people to work on projects together.
John Bos has a BS in Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, a BS in Electronics Technology from Norfolk State University, and an MS in Info Warfare/Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Postgraduate School. John is certified by the EC Council as a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and by ISC2 as a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
