Alessio Piccioli has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alessio co-founded Webmapp in 2017 along with Marco Barbieri, where they played a crucial role in establishing the innovative startup. In 2019, they also co-founded Cyclando, the first online platform for cycle tourism trips. Alessio's passion for technology and cycling led him to create a platform that connects cycle travelers with tour operators. Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Alessio worked at Net7, where they initially worked as a developer and project manager. As Net7 grew, they transitioned into the role of human resources coordinator and project manager. Additionally, Alessio has worked as a researcher at the Università degli studi di Siena - Dipartimento di Fisica and as a post-doc researcher at INFN.
Alessio Piccioli completed their education in the field of Physics (Astroparticle Physics). Alessio received a Master's degree from Università di Pisa, where they studied from 1993 to 2000. Alessio then pursued further studies at Università degli Studi di Siena and obtained a Ph.D. in Physics (Astroparticle) from 2000 to 2003.
