Riccardo Sedola has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2007, they founded Greenthink Consulting & Outdoor, where they focused on outdoor and environmental/natural interpretation activities, as well as consultancy services for ecotourism planning and environmental awareness. Riccardo also worked as a Co-Founder and CEO of Cyclando, starting in 2019. From 2013 to 2020, they served as the Executive Director of an ice stadium and a 44,000 sqm sport facility in Modena, where they also promoted outdoor sports. Prior to that, they worked at Verde Natura as a Product Manager, Tour Leader, and R&D specialist, responsible for leading cycling tours across Europe and developing new tours. Riccardo has also held positions such as an MTB ecotourism expert at Maranello Terra del Mito, environmental interpretation and awareness expert at Coop La Lumaca, and conservation and ecotourism expert at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Riccardo has served as a trainer for guiding techniques at Irecoop Emilia-Romagna and worked as an environmental management and communication expert at Cirf - Italian River Restoration Center. Additionally, they were an environmental education and awareness expert at Frignano Regional Park.
Riccardo Sedola's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Geology from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Riccardo then pursued a Master's degree in Protected Areas Governance from Università degli Studi del Molise in 2007. Prior to their undergraduate studies, from 1996 to 2001, they completed a degree in Natural Science with a cumulative grade of 110/100 cum laude at the same institution.
In addition to their formal education, Sedola obtained several certifications. In 2004, they acquired the certification of Professional Interpretive Nature Guides (GAE) from CESVIP. This was followed by the certification of Wildlife Manager from ISPRA in 2008. Sedola also obtained the certification of Rope Access Technician on Trees - Treeclimbing from Form up in May 2013, and the certification of Wilderness First Responder from Wilderness Medical Associates in November 2013. Their latest certification is that of Assistant Trainer from Wilderness Medical Associates International, which they received in December 2015.
