Vinay Kara has been working as a Computer Vision Engineer at Cydar Medical since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Researcher PhD Student at The University of Manchester from 2016 to 2021, where they developed computational programs to model and improve a novel medical imaging methodology called ECG Imaging. Vinay'sresearch worked in areas such as 3D modeling, Optimisation, Genetic Algorithms, Signal Processing and Machine Learning. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Statistician Intern at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, where they focused on a statistical analysis of ‘design of experiments’ and completed with certification Minitab software online quality training. Vinay also created a computer application to streamline the risk assessment process, which was then rolled out company-wide.
Vinay Kara completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Biophysics from The University of Manchester between 2016 and 2020. Prior to this, they obtained their Physics MSci from Imperial College London between 2012 and 2016. Vinay'seducational journey began at Egglescliffe School and Sixth Form College between 2005 and 2012. In September 2022, they obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++ from NVIDIA.
