Mike Kimmel has over 18 years of work experience in the technology industry. Mike began their career in 2003 as a Lead Technician at Qwest Government Services. In 2005, they moved to ITT Industries as a Hardware Engineer, where they provided preventive and corrective maintenance, design, implementation and modernization of government radar equipment. In 2007, they joined Computer Sciences Corporation (DTS-PO) as an Instructor, delivering classroom training to Diplomatic Telecommunications Service personnel. That same year, they also worked at FYI, Inc. as a LAN Administrator, redesigning network topology and serving as sole network administrator for TISCOM test labs, USCG. In 2014, they moved to SRC as a Cyber Security Analyst, researching, producing and delivering analysis results for multiple Fortune 100 companies. In 2015, they joined Fidelis Cybersecurity as a Sales Engineer, Technical Account / Customer Success Manager - Commercial, Training Manager, Technical Account Manager - Commercial, Technical Support Engineer - Principal, and Technical Account Manager - Federal Accounts. In 2022, they moved to CYFIRMA as a Sr Solutions Architect.

Mike Kimmel has a long and varied educational history. Mike obtained a RHCSA Certificate from RedHat, Inc. in 2013. Mike also obtained a RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator) certification from RedHat, Inc. in September 2013. Prior to this, they attended Axia College, University of Phoenix for Business/Corporate Communications in 2008. In 2006, they attended RedHat, Inc. for RedHat Linux. In 1999, they attended Raytheon, Joint National Test Facility for Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician. In 1995, they attended University of Maryland, Asian Division for Computer Information Systems. Lastly, they attended United States Marine Corps for Communications Electronics in 1991.
