In 1999, Pat started as an Account Executive at Wall Data, a software company specializing in enterprise solutions. Later in the same year, they joined Viador Inc. as a Western Area Sales Manager, responsible for delivering self-service enterprise portals.

From 2002 until 2006, Pat worked at Sun Microsystems as a Senior Account Executive, selling software solutions for identity management, authentication/authorization, and infrastructure software to federal government and commercial sectors. They were recognized for exceeding goals during their tenure.
