Dr Simon Poole Ao

Dr Simon Poole AO has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Dr Simon co-founded and served as the Director at Cylite, where they were also the VP of Business Development. At The Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), they held the position of Director. Dr Poole also worked as the Director of New Business Ventures at Finisar Australia and as the General Manager at Optium Australia. Dr Simon founded Engana Pty Ltd and served as its CEO, and served as a Venture Partner at KPLJ Ventures. Dr Simon was the Technical Director at JDSU Australia and the CEO of Indx Pty Ltd. Additionally, they held leadership roles at the University of Sydney and the University of Southampton.

Dr Simon Poole AO completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham from 1976 to 1979. Dr Simon then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fabrication and Characterisation of Specialty Optical Fibres at the University of Southampton, which they completed from 1981 to 1987.
